An Evening with Fiddler/Violinist Darol Anger
Great Performer Series continues with world-class musicians

December 20, 2007- Newark, OH- The Ohio State University at Newark’s Great Performers Series will open 2008 with fiddler/violinist Darol Anger. The Saturday, February 9th concert will take place in the Black Box Theatre in LeFevre Hall at 8 pm and is free and open to the public.
Anger will be accompanied by a violinist and cellist and for this performance, special guest violinist Columbus-born Christian Howes.
Anger has worked with some of the world's great improvising string musicians, including Stephane Grappelli, Mark O'Connor, David Grisman, Tony Rice, Bela Fleck and Vassar Clements. Those collaborations have contributed to the development of Anger's signature voice, both as a player and a composer. His work includes recordings, videos and books of jazz originals and arrangements, and traditional-derived music in many styles.
The Great Performers Series is offered free of charge and endeavors to share exciting, live music with the community.
