Students in the undergraduate education program seeking licensure in Early Childhood Education complete the Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S.Ed.), specialize in early childhood foundations and choose at least one more area of concentration. The B.S.Ed. includes the pre-requisites for Early Childhood licensure, available at the masters level at Ohio State Newark, in the Early Childhood M.Ed..
The B.S.Ed. prepares students for a variety of work opportunities and includes coursework from a range of disciplines. Students choose a specialty and also develop basic knowledge of the teaching process. This combination of specific skills and general knowledge makes Ohio State Newark’s College of Education and Human Ecology graduates versatile and marketable.
