Memories in Stone
Jason Harris

We look at the stone we remember you by
It says your name, and the date we will forever cry,
We will never forget that day you died
And no one will forget, the tears we all cried.

Here on the grass, people are crying,
To place a stone, people are dying,
Some from hate, and some from age,
They’re all now stuck, inside a tiny coffin cage.

But they’re not they’re up above
Where they watch us with their love,
They keep us safe and free from harm,
So for you we have placed this charm.

Young or old, short or tall
These stones are our memories, to remember you all.
