Dare to Dream

Retha Sloter Murray

Once I stood where you now stand.
For once I dared to dream.
With trembling knees and shaking hands
I took that giant step.
With furrowed brow I look at you,
a smile upon my face.
With trembling knees and shaking hands,
you now take my place.
Do not be afraid my dear
to take that giant step.
Reach for the stars, on your walk through life,
and always dare to dream.
