The Ohio State University at Newark’s productivity today and sustainability for tomorrow depends on having faculty, staff and leadership talent that is knowledgeable, results-oriented, and motivated by a sense of opportunity and the desire for personal and institutional excellence.
To create a high performance culture, we will ensure that each member of our community is offered clear performance objectives, ongoing coaching and feedback, professional development, and recognition for outstanding work that contributes to our overall success. We will foster an environment for development, and provide tools for performance evaluation that include educational components and flexibility so that our faculty, staff, and leadership talent can excel individually and in collaboration to successfully meet ongoing challenges.
The goal of the Performance Management program is to provide staff members with feedback on their performance and accomplishments for the previous year. This program should also assist staff members in understanding their job responsibilities and supervisor's performance expectations. Performance goals for the upcoming year and specific plans to help staff members meet those goals should also be established through this process.
