B.              The Committee will include the three winners from the previous year.  If a winner is unable to serve, the corresponding winner from two years prior will be appointed.  If a sufficient number of previous winners are unavailable, full-time faculty will be appointed in place of previous winners.

C.              The Committee will include two students appointed by the President of the Student Senate and approved by a vote of the Senate.

IV.             Nominations

A.        Nomination forms will be posted around the campus by the Selection Committee the last three weeks of Winter Quarter and the first two weeks of Spring Quarter.

B.        A request for nominations shall be placed in campus publications. OSU Newark students, faculty, administrators and alumni are all eligible to nominate faculty.  A valid nomination form must include a statement telling why a faculty member should be considered and the signature of the nominator.  Self nominations are not permitted.  A sample form is attached.

C.        If at least three nominations have not been received in each of the

three categories by the end of the first week of Spring Quarter, a nomination form will be placed in the mailbox of each full-time lecturer and faculty member.  At the discretion of the Selection Committee, members may hand out nomination forms in the cafeteria.

D.        The Chair of the Selection Committee will tabulate the names of the nominees and will remove the signatures from the nomination forms.  Only the chair will have a record of the names of the persons making nominations.  All unsupported or unsigned nominations will be rejected.

E.         During the nomination period, the Chair of the Selection Committee will consult with the Associate Dean of the Ohio State University at Newark to determine which nominated faculty are eligible for the award based on the criteria in II and to which of the three categories each faculty member belongs.
