Awards and Recognition

ALL AWARDS WILL BE PRESENTED
AT THE ANNUAL LEADERSHIP AND SERVICE RECEPTION

THURSDAY, MAY 17, 2012 @ 6:00 PM

The Office of Student Life strives to offer Newark campus students various opportunities to coordinate in-class learning with out-of-class experience through involvement in various student organizations.  This type of involvement enhances leadership skills through interaction with other students as well as COTC and Ohio State Newark faculty, staff, administration and community members.

There is no one picture of leadership; it comes in many forms.  Whether you are the president or executive officer of an organization, or a dedicated member who constantly attends and offers help at your group’s events and activities, you are showing and developing leadership skills.  The Student Government and the Office of Student Life set expectations for leadership excellence and challenge all our students and student organizations to strive for their best.

In an effort to show support for student organizations as well as encourage further excellence in student programming and leadership, the Office of Student Life offers many awards and various forms of recognition for individual and group accomplishment.  Complete information regarding these awards is here in this handbook.

Nomination forms are posted on OrgSync and will be available for submission starting from October through April.

*PLEASE NOTE:
Due to quality/quantity of nominations or special circumstances, all or some awards may be changed, altered, or deleted. For final award considerations, information will be provided at the beginning of the spring quarter.

Nomination forms and complete award descriptions are available beginning October 24, 2011 and will remain open until April 27, 2012.
